About Host
Alita Guillen is a communication consultant, podcast host and Emmy award-winning journalist. She works with the world’s leading brands, media personalities, professional athletes and Fortune 100 executives to help them elevate their communication and performance skills. Alita’s experience as a seasoned journalist has given her the unique ability to zero in on what makes a great story. She began her career in broadcast journalism, covering key international and national issues such as 9/11, as well as the Supreme Court, NASA, the Super Bowl and the World Series. She has conducted one-on-one interviews with U.S. presidents such as Barack Obama. On-camera, she is known for her poise, storytelling and live broadcasting skills. This unconventional career path along with Alita’s upbringing in an immigrant family and experience as a high-level collegiate athlete helped cultivate her strong desire to have a bold, confident voice in the world. In her work as a communication consultant, she is motivated by helping guide others to explore their own uncharted territory and push them to reach beyond their own pre-determined boundaries. She knows how to ask the right questions that provoke a client to self-reflect while also empowering them to do the work that is needed to master their communication style. Alita is also a successful entrepreneur, having founded and launched a number of businesses - she even holds a patent for product design. She earned a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami, and her undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire, where she led the NCAA D1 Women’s Lacrosse team to the Final Four championship, earning All-American honors. Alita has lived and worked in Boston, Chicago, Miami and currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, three children and two fluffy friends. When she’s not working with clients or competing on the tennis court, she’s planning her next adventure.
